role play stats:→ I play both male and female characters, though I tend to lean toward females.
→ I am LGBT friendly, though I would have to be drawn to the story/characters to play a same sex relationship. Playing same sex relationships for the sake of a same sex relationship doesn't interest me. Overly femme boys don't usually interest me.
→ I haven't played out a relationship in a long time. I'm really interested in playing a romantic relationship out because it has been so long and it would feel "new" to me again. This isn't required for a story line, however.
→ Usually I'm a "fade to black" kind of person, but that doesn't mean I'd be opposed to the challenge of writing out something more detailed if it can be done in a way that does not read like high school level fanfic.
→ Google Docs is my preference for PSLs. Journals would be my second choice. IMs and Chat Rooms can be fun for the speed required to write in them. Translation: I'm open minded.
→ I prefer to play in third-person, past tense. There's a linguistic reason behind the past tense that I won't bore you with now but feel free to ask if you're ever so inclined.
rules/limits:→ Because I'm over eighteen, you need to be over eighteen, too.
→ I do not RP minors in relationships with adults, especially between students and teachers. I find that kind of thing to be completely vile. Don't ask.
→ Stuff I don't RP? Wincest, Harry Potter, furies...
current games:
intime
A Marvel Universe game based loosely on the Exiles Comic premise. Not only am I the Mini-Mod but I also play a version of Illyana Rasputina ( deviled), Martinique Jason (
veritat) and Nathaniel Essex (
lefthand). Note: I'm in denial that this game isn't still active.
we_coexist
One of the first multi-fandom games ever to exist made of win and crack. It recently reopened and I'll be playing Buffy Summers ( i_diedtwice), Georgia Lass (
i_avoidlife), Death of the Endless (
i_happen), Sherlock Holmes (
i_observe) and The Trickster (
i_trickedyou).
preferences:→ I enjoy playing original characters and characters from fandom. I do not do celeb role play. Can I say I've never done it? No, but it was the Beatles and it was in high school so you can hardly hold that against me.
→ My favorite fandoms and game settings include Dollhouse, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, many independent comics, True Blood/Southern Vampire Mysteries, Firefly/Serenity, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Buffy/Angel, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, A Song of Fire and Ice series, The Dark Tower series, Changeling: The Lost, Delta Green, Ravenloft, Dark Sun and Deadlands. Yes, I do AU!
→ General genres that I adore include...• Supernatural; urban fantasy, vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, witches, zombies, modern day fairies, modern day gods, modern day incarnations of fairytales, etc.
• Historical and historical fantasy; fantasy specific to certain time periods including the Tudor era, the Elizabethan era, Victorian era, ancient greeks, ancient romans, dark ages Europe, the Inquisition, etc.
• High fantasy; including Dungeons and Dragons styled fantasy, classic children's literature (Alice in Wonderland, Narnia, Oz or Peter Pan) inspired fantasy, mythological and fairy tale inspired fantasy.
• Horror and pulp inspired story lines from the 1920s to the 1940s, including HP Lovecraft styled horror and Robert E. Howard styled sword and sorcery. Anything taking place on Mars or the Moon (or both!) is just kinda rad.
• Science fiction; including adventures out in space, steampunk and cyberpunk. Similar to Firefly I'm very interested in mixing genres as well, like westerns and space, or fairy tales and steampunk, horror and space, etc.
story line wants:→ AU Dollhouse; Perhaps because I just wasn't into Echo, but I'd like to see a Dollhouse universe without her. How would things have gone differently? Are there OC dolls in addition to the staff and favorites like Sierra and Victor that could guide the plot differently?
→ Supernatural; I'm always up for this. I know, I know. Season Five sucked, season four was good in spots, same with season three and it really went all down hill in the middle of season two. I'm like the fan they keep kicking in the face and yet I always come back. They say it takes a fangirl seven attempts to leave their abusive fandom, and I've only tried the thrice. (They named their Wincest writing fangirl Becky. They they really are fuckers.)
→ Next Gen/AU DC Comics; Instead of a traditional next gen game where all the cannon characters have babies, what about a next gen game were the heroes of the past are just that-- the past. What new kinds of heroes and villains might pop out with that kind of history?
→ "Heroes" Styled Marvel Game; A game with cannon or completely OC characters with Marvel elements in the background. There are no super heroes, no Xavier's School for the Gifted, so how do people deal with their newly discovered powers?
→ Anything Lovecraft. Srsly. Mixing Lovecraftian mythology with Inception would be epic.
→ A Victorian Era pulp/steampunk game which takes place on Mars and/or the Moon. Of course this has no basis in modern science, but would use historical theories of the time. For example, space travel would exist in an ether rather than a void making airship/ballon travel possible, no terraforming is required for the Moon or Mars and there are aliens!
→ Victorian Steampunk/Horror. Mixing some of my favorite genes all in one bite! Perhaps with a basis in literature like Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dracula, etc.
→ A Baron of Munchausen/The Fall style game, where much of the action takes place as a story within a story. I think a game like that could be very rewarding/challenging. Seethebaron for one idea of how such a story line could be set up.
→ Anything modern day supernatural. (Vampires are the least interesting supernatural subject to me but I'd be interested in freshening up the genre with a twist!)
→ Yeah, I could go on and on...
